Phoenix Counseling Center is looking for a gentle, compassionate mental health therapist to provide trauma-informed outpatient mental health and substance use counseling services.

What you will be doing...

You would be serving a population of incredible individuals and their families in both individual and group sessions.

Essentially you would be...

Providing intakes and assessments
Working with a caseload of individuals, providing individual and group counseling, using a strength-based and motivational approach
Engaging in collaborative service planning
Collaborating with supervisors and other clinicians to plan and implement client interventions
Implementing outreach efforts to maintain individuals' engagement in the treatment process
Providing timely and accurate clinical documentation including service notes and progress reports in compliance with agency and regulatory standards
While always maintaining professional and ethical standards of conduct

What we are looking for...

The right individual for this position has a passion for helping others and is able to meet individuals where they are at. The desired qualifications for the position would include:

Master's level education in mental health counseling
CADC-R, CADC I, II, or Ill - or able to become credentialed within two years
Ability to work at least 25 hours per week with good attendance in order to provide continuity of care
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to articulate clinical concepts and program outcomes
Ability to pass a criminal and abuse background check
