Meet the Staff of Phoenix Counseling
Keziah Hinchen, M.A., as Executive Director brings over 20 years of clinical and therapeutic work in the recovery field to this position. She trained with the author and nationally-recognized sexual addictions therapist, Patrick Carnes. She has extensive experience working with clients who present with a myriad of disorders. She has also served as Clinical Supervisor for this agency for five years. keziah@phoenixcounseling.org
Lucie K. Scheuer, CADCII, CGACII, Development Director, has worked in the field of recovery for 20 years and as an addictions counselor, development director and chemical dependency specialist. She is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor II in the state of Oregon and is also a Smoking Cessation Counselor. She has been recognized for her work with women, trauma and addiction, and in 1990 received a commendation by then Los Angeles Mayor, Tom Bradley. lucie@phoenixcounseling.org
Carl Pirrello, CADCI, is the DUII Program Coordinator. Carl works with male, first, second and multi-offender clients offering them educational applications to explore their alcohol and other drug use and to take responsibility for their actions. He uses a gentle but persuasive approach while encouraging the male participants to be accountable for their actions and own their problematic alcohol and drug-using behavior. Tim Sebastian, CADCII Tim Sebastian and his family moved to the Rogue Valley from New Orleans a year after hurricane Katrina. He was a Licensed Addiction Counselor in private practice since 1990. He trained at River Oaks Chemical Dependency Unit in New Orleans and was the primary inpatient counselor at Slidell Memorial Hospital CDU when it opened in 1988. He is certified in Trauma Resolution Therapy. He served on the Louisiana State Examining Board for the Certification of Substance Abuse Counselors. His private practice focused on addiction, codependency, and family of origin issues. He is a CADC II and maintains a national NAADAC certification. He is currently the Director of the Men's Program at Phoenix Counseling. Tim has been active in the recovering community for over 22 years. tim@phoenixcounseling.org
Kristin Abbott, B.S. is the agency Bookkeeper. She is a wiz with numbers, administers employee payroll and all finances associated with the agency. In addition to the responsibilities of balancing the agency books, she is partially responsible for formulating grant budgets, works with the Development Director, Executive Director and Grant Administrator. kristin@phoenixcounseling.org
Princess Muki has been sitting in with clients for several
years now. She has a way of putting them at ease and making them feel at home.
Muki loves her work and shows up quite often to put smiles on client's faces.
She is home-schooled and her human parents constantly marvel at her ability
to learn new things. She had planned to finish her schooling at Warm and Fuzzy
University but opted to work at Phoenix Counseling instead.
